I received a call from the service center in regards to a recall for my vehicle. I advised the lady I spoke with about other issues with my car and she said she logged all the issues and will be looked at when I come in. Great. I walked in for the appointment and was told that it wouldn't be finished that day because they had limited servicemen and that I would need to leave my vehicle over the weekend. Cool. No problems, totally understood. I was told by Vincent "Vinny" that I could pick up the vehicle on Monday in the evening and I double checked with him before I left. When Monday came, vehicle wasn't ready nor did any one look / inspect my vehicle. This is where I got irritated and frustrated. When i spoke with the another serviceman he said "what recall? there isn't a notice" WHAT!? and then he had said that my car wasn't even looked at or moved into the service center all weekend. I asked to speak with a manager and I told him about the situation and he said that Vinny said he never said to pick it up Monday. I ended up leaving the vehicle there until Tuesday, they fixed the issues, great. No... they didn't. My fuel meter is still having issues and all of the issues that I had are still visible. I put gas in my car twice since the service and every time the nozzle clicks I make sure I get a click twice. When I turn my engine on, it still has the needle pointing under the F, not at full. I usually get about 505 miles (indicated on the screen) but right now I am only getting 470. There is definitely something wrong with my vehicle. I'm never going back there again. No Thank you! I will find another dealer.
This was my second time getting my car serviced at Koons Kia and the experience was positive just like the first time, which happened to have been with the current manger. This time I had Vinny, who provided exceptional service. He squeezed in my appointment for the next morning after I mentioned the problems I had getting a live person to make an appointment over the phone. Vinny also provided an accurate estimate (even slightly lower) of the repair costs. I am keeping my fingers crossed but so far it sounds like the mechanic fixed the problems and the final cost was reasonable, particularly for a dealership, which often charges higher prices than other shops. Vinny also arranged a complimentary rental when the repairs couldn't be completed until the next day. He was pleasant, helpful and competent throughout.
I have been to many mechanics and car dealerships to have my car worked on. There has never been a single place that has stood out to me more than Koons in Owings Mills. My associate Vinny is by far the best I've ever dealt with! He always professional, smiling, and very knowledgeable. When I leave my car with him I know that I am guaranteed to pick my car up at the time he tells me it'll be ready and that my car will be fixed properly. Great service!!
